What is neoteny?
A few months back, a lovely man who presented a workshop for our company introduced the concept of neoteny as retaining the childlike qualities of wonder and play about life and learning.
Whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed with information, I try to remember that concept. Small children don’t get stressed out when faced with a room full of toys – they dive in with squeals of delight and excitement and play with them in ways we adults never even considered. Some toys become cherished and well worn favourites, others are stepping stones on the path to development and others are tried and then discarded.
My aim for this site is to share what I’m learning about e-learning and the online tools and information resources that can make communicating with your staff and customers more fun and engaging. You can make up your mind which ones you’ll play with and which ones are intriguing but not quite right for your business.
