Mashing up as much free stuff as possible

October 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

After playing with the otters, I decided to take things a step further.  I did some more recording at the zoo with my mp3 player - this time in the aviary.  I then searched on the internet to find some copy-right free and/or creative commons licensed music.  Flashkit turned out to be a good loop resource (recommended by the hubby).

I found a nice, mellow track - donated by Enrique Plazaola - and used Audacity to mix it with the bird song.

I then used MS PhotoStory to drag in some photos of flowers, landscapes and appropriately mellow images and added my track.

The results - Birds, scenery, etc. - may not win any awards (or even compliments on You Tube), but it makes use of as many free elements as possible to create a digital story.
