Every year UniFem (the United Nations Development Fund for Women) holds a fund raising breakfast for International Womens’ Day and having been to a few of them in Adelaide, I can tell you these events are a really special time.
Last year more than 1900 people came together in Adelaide. Breakfasts and other events are being held all over Australia: http://www.unifem.org.au/event/2009/03/01/month/all/all/1
I plan to attend and would love to hear from anyone else here in Adelaide reading this blog who’d like to join me. The donation for breakfast (hosted by Penny Wong and featuring guest speaker Evonne Goolagong Cawley – a childhood hero of mine) is $40.

If you’d like to join me, just leave a comment on this blog post and make sure to include your email address in the comment form. Your email address will NOT posted to the internet. Once I get at least one table formed, I’ll be in touch with my PayPal account details so we can streamline the process and ensure we all sit at the same table.
This is NOT an Education.au or edna event — this is something I’m arranging on my own to support a very worthy cause — and to meet more of the amazing edutechies in my home town.
