Telstra’s side of the story on NBN

This morning ABC Radio National Breakfast interviewed Kate McKenzie, Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale about their bid for the National Broadband Network. McKenzie dismissed Terria’s bid as simply a political stunt designed to push the issue of structural separation and said that Telstra would pull out of the bidding process if that were a condition.  She also said that there would be fair and equitable access for all providers, but said that Telstra would naturally charge for use of any infrastructure they put in place. The interview is available in MP3 format for streaming and download from the ABC site:http://www.abc.net.au/rn/breakfast/stories/2008/2258827.htm You can also download and listen to an interview with Michael Egan, former NSW Labor Treasurer and new chairman of TERRiA recorded on 22 May. http://www.abc.net.au/rn/breakfast/stories/2008/2252225.htm
